INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT THE CATHOLIC FAITH?
I am interested in the Catholic faith. How can I find out more about it?

Welcome to the community of seekers and believers!
Your desire opens your mind and heart to all that God wants to give you. To join a group, RCIA, who seeks the truth in love in the Catholic Church, call 440-926-2364 or fill out the on-line RCIA Inquiry Form.

From September to May we meet weekly on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm in the hall at 708 Erie Street in Garfton, OH. From June to August we meet on the second Wednesday of the month for scripture sharing and integration of the year's experience. For session dates and times see the RCIA calendar. All are invited.

All are welcome. Catholics who desire further initiation and those interested in learning more about the Faith.

WHAT IS THE FIRST STEP?
If you are seriously interested in learning more about being a part of our community of faith, simply call the office 440-926-2364 and leave your name and number. Either the RCIA coordinator or the pastor, Fr. John Seabold, will respond. You can also email to olqpgrafton.org. We call you an inquirer.

WHO IS AN INQUIRER?
- You may be anyone who wants to learn more.
- You may be a person interested in aspects of the Catholic Faith.
- You may want to be a part of our faith community.
- You may have been baptized but had little or no chance to recieve the other sacraments of initiation.
- You may have no church and are interested in our faith community.
- A significant person in your life may be Catholic.
|

CAN I BRING A FRIEND?
Actually, a faith journey most often presumes a person who will journey with you. In our Inquiry Sessions, we encourage you to bring a significant other, especially if that person is Catholic. That support in and outside of the sessions will heighten the experience for all. A person from the community can also accompany you. Later in the process we call that person a sponsor.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Since it is a journey, it takes as long as you need or desire. As in the early church, adults receive the sacraments at the Easter Vigil, the highest feast we celebrate. That gives you an idea about how important this is to the church. However, faith-growth happens in relationship with Jesus and his community of followers. Each seeker paces the process personally. Someone might want to continue for another year. It is a process, not a graduation! (See Steps in RCIA)
