The Life Share Bloodmobile will be at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish Sunday, February 19th from 8:30am to 12:30pm for anyone who would like to donate.

• Every 90 seconds, someone needs blood
• One pint of blood can save up to three oives. A teaspoon of blood can save the life of a newborn.
• The need for blood is great - on any given day, approximately 40,000 units of red blood cells are needed. Accident victims, peole undergoing surgery and patients receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer other diseases, sucha as sickle cell and thalassemia, all utilize blood. More tha 23 milion unit of blood componets are transfused every year.
• Less thatn five percent of healthy Americans eligible to donate blood actuall donate every year; however, statistics indicate 97 percent of the population will need a transfusion at some point in life.
